Vintage Bed to Settee

My girls were in day camp and I had time to kill so I decided to meander through Habitat For Humanity's ReStore. I stumbled upon this vintage headboard and footboard--Sold! I've seen some great examples of beds turned into settees and was happy to try my hand at it.

I came home and sliced through the footboard, cut off some of the turnings on the feet so that the arms would be lower than the back, and went about building the frame to hold it all together Voila! A lovely farmhouse chic settee.

So much fun! I love finding new love for something old!
