Grown Up Friendship Bracelets

Some girlfriends and I were on an outing to celebrate growth, wisdom, and coming of age--otherwise known as a birthday. At some point during the day it was mentioned that it would be cool to have a piece of jewelry to commemorate how we prop each other up, how we propel each other forward, and how we rely on each other for prayer. I was wearing one of my woven bracelets and as I looked at it, I realized that it reminded me of linking arms with that center strand representing God--what really holds us together. I came home and made a grown up version of what we all know as a friendship bracelet from when we were a kid with a bead for each one of these women who are a gift to me.
